This is one of the very few Talking clocks left in the world today. Manufactured by Bernhard Hiller of Berlin this clock is fully functional, the celluloid strip is intact and it speaks the time every half hour

A Very Rare German Mahogany - Talking Timepiece, the gilt dial with regulation aperture and incised border, the repeating timepiece movement with a pin pallet escapement, the substantial talking movement with cast plates and train, vertical papier-mâché horn, massive spring barrel and roller mechanism with original tape giving time in German every half hour.
The case is rectangular with pierced fret work, glazed door flanked by brass capped plain pillars and moulded base (42cm (16.5in) high.
