This Dunhill pipe is the 1991 "Christmas Pipe". 1991 was only the only year that Dunhill had produced a Christmas pipe with a solid 18 karat gold band. It is a Shell Briar sandblasted finish "Canadian". This pipe is serial number 2 from a Limited Edition series of 350 pipes.

It is commonly known by Dunhill pipe collectors that the lowest serial number of these Dunhill Limited Edition pipes available to the public was number 3. Serial number 1 went to the Alfred Dunhill museum, and serial number 2 went to Richard Dunhill (Alfred Dunhill's grandson). As this very pipe is serial number 2, this pipe originally belonged to Richard Dunhill. This pipe is the absolute lowest serial number that can ever be had! Therefore, his is the most important 1991Christmas pipe that can be had!!!

The tobacco chamber is about 0.75" in diameter, and tapers down the bowl's 1.55" inner depth. Capacity is similar to that of a Group 4 size Dunhill pipe. The weight is 32 grams.
