You are looking at a Lycoming O-235-L2C engine that was overhauled in 1986 and has ZERO hours SMOH! This engine was purchased for an experimental aircraft project that was never completed. It has been sitting in a heated garage since it was purchased. As you can see by the pictures, it's a little dusty but I'm sure it will clean up nicely.

All ports leading to the internal parts of this engine have been plugged since it was purchased. Since the engine had been sitting for years, the spark plugs were removed and Mystery Oil was injected into each cylinder. With a flywheel turning wrench the engine moved freely by hand with little effort. Only one revolution was made to make sure it spun freely.
Case was inspected and found to be perfect and re-used which would again suggest a first run engine with low hours
