The scanner has just been returned from the Hasselblad where it was completely tuned, serviced - fully returned to factory specifications: tune and lube; gearbox service kit; new lamp, new gripper/retainer; and new main controller board. The 848 Scanner is a virtual drum scanner capable of scanning transparencies (both negatives and positives) and reflectives: the 848 have two lamps for this purpose. In addition, the 848 can accept a batch feeder.

All of the holders are in excellent condition, and holders b, e, are new. The latest version of the software for Windows and Mac is downloadable from the Hasselblad. I purchased the Imacon 848 and Nikon 5000 approximately two months ago, and after examining both units I decided to keep the Nikon 5000 (I have almost 1000 slides).
